Local Parent Training Resources:

Various local agencies and parent organizations also provide parent training.  To access a listing of agencies and organizations in your area, just enter your zip code in the search box on:

Regional Service Center Parent Trainings:
The Regional Education Service Centers (ESC) provide statewide leadership on a variety of activities.  All service centers have Professional Development catalogs that list the variety of trainings.  If you find a training you are interested in and there is a fee, sometimes as a parent you may request the service center if they can waive the fee.  We cannot guarantee that the fee will be waived, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.  Each ESC has Special Education Support Contacts – these people are also good contacts for parent training opportunities.

Free On Line Trainings:
You may come across TETNs on some of the Texas Education Agency website pages you visit.  These are called: Texas Education Teleconference Network trainings (TETNs).  You may have to contact your local education service center to participate in these trainings.
