Access to Disability Data - This is an InfoUse project entitled “Access to Disability Data” and provides national statistical information on disability in the United States.

The Arc of the United States - The home page of The Arc of the United States – “The national organization of and for people with mental retardation and related disabilities and their families.” This site includes information about The Arc and its position statements; fact sheets covering a wide range of issues concerning people with mental retardation; publications, and related web links.

The Boulevard - This web site is called The Boulevard and provides a directory of products and services for individuals with disabilities.

Brookes Publishing - This is the e-catalog for Brookes Publishing who publishes “highly respected resources in the following fields: early childhood, early intervention, inclusive and special education, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, communication and language, behavior and mental health”.

Developmental Delay Resources - This is the home page of Developmental Delay Resources, “a nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of children who have developmental delays in sensory motor, language, social, and emotional areas.” It includes links to Internet resources that cover topics such as: ADD, Auditory Integration, Autism & PDD, diet & nutrition, Learning Disabilities, Sensory Integration, and more.

Disability Government Resources - This is the federal government’s intra-agency web portal to access information on disability-related government resources. Subjects include civil rights, education, employment, housing, health, income support, technology, transportation, and community life.

Disability Cool - This web site is entitled “Disability Cool” and describes itself as “a forum for the expression of ideas and opinions… to challenge all the preconceived notions about what it’s like to live with a disability”. “When we’ve finished with you, we hope you will never again accept societies stereotypes and low levels of expectations of what people think we should be.”

Disability Information for Journalists
- This web site is called Disability Information for Journalists and is provided by the
Center for an Accessible Society. It is a “communications clearinghouse providing journalists
credible information and quotable sources on national disability policy and independent living issues.” Disability Museum - This is the web site of the Disability Museum, whose mission is “to promote understanding about the historical experience of people with disabilities by recovering, chronicling, and interpreting their stories.”

disABILITY Information and Resources - This is a large compilation of web links to disability resources, communities, and databases entitled disABILITY Information and Resources. The web site was created and is maintained by Jim Lubin who is quadriplegic.

Disability Resources, Inc. - The web site of Disability Resources, Inc. – a non-profit organization that reviews publications, on-line services, audiovisual materials, and other resources to find information that may help individuals with disabilities live more independently. This web site provides information on hundreds of disability related topics.

Disability Social History Project - This is the web page of the Disability Social History Project, a collection of information that includes important events in the history of the disability community; the history of the disability rights movement; bibliographies of disability activists as well as historical figures who had disabilities; web links and more.

Disability World is “a bimonthly web-zine of international news and views...dedicated to advancing an exchange of information and research about the international independent living movement of people with disabilities.” It contains a number of topics, web links, and a database of abstracts. Also available in Spanish.

Diverse City Press, Inc. - The web site of the publishing company, Diverse City Press, Inc. who “produces and distributes inspiring and informational books, audio CD’s, and video tapes, dealing with persons with developmental disabilities, and a range of social issues”.

Empowerment Zone - This is the home page of Jamal Mazrui, entitled “Empowerment Zone”. Mr. Mazrui, who lost his sight as a teenager, is employed as a legislative analyst for the National Council on Disability and also runs a software consulting business. His site is a compilation of information, inspiration and ideas on a wide range of disability related topics.

Enabled Online
- This web site entitled Enabled Online.com is “a unique electronic forum created for people to share their personal stories and opinions, as well as the latest information on disability-related issues, without focusing exclusively on any specific disability or demographic.”

Exceptional Parent Magazine - This is the online version of Exceptional Parent Magazine, “providing information, support, ideas, encouragement, and outreach for parents and families of children with disabilities and the professionals who work with them.”

Family Village - This is the Family Village web site, “a global community of disability-related resources”
that provides information and resources concerning a wide range of topics.

Internet Resources for Special Children
- Maintained by the parent of a child with multiple disabilities. It contains thousands of web links covering a wide range of disability-related issues and topics.

National Rehabilitation Information Center - Searchable database contains over 60,000 disability-related records. NRIC collects and disseminates the results of federally funded research projects.

National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities   - "Provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals.” Their focus is children and youth, birth to 22 years of age. The web site provides links to state organizations and agencies that address disability-related issues; a database of national organizations; information on IDEA ’97 and IDEA training; links to information clearinghouses; and more.

New Mobility Magazine - focuses on Disability Culture and Lifestyle.

Society for Disability Studies – A non-profit organization that “promotes the exploration of disability through research, artistic production, and teaching …to promote greater awareness and contribute to social change”.

Special Child Magazine - An online magazine serving parents and caregivers of children with special needs. It includes articles on family issues and legal issues; a bulletin board for sharing information and tips, asking questions, and posting items for sale; and a diagnosis search page for parents whose children have not yet been diagnosed.

StateData
- This website entitled StateData.info generates customized charts of state, national and individual disability data.

Texas Resource Directory
  - Put together by Disability Resources, Inc. It provides web links to organizations and web sites covering a wide range of disability issues.

Texas Yellow Pages for Kids with Disabilities  - Yellow Pages includes many resources - government programs, grassroots organizations, and parent support groups.

United People With Dis“abilities” - This is the web site of United People With Dis“abilities”. UPWD is an organization that was created by, and is managed by, people with disabilities to “unite and be the voice for the 54 plus million American people with disabilities.” The site includes information on employment, advocacy issues, accessible vacations, resources, etc. It also includes listings for the sale of equipment, vehicles and accessible homes, as well as product reviews.

Untangling the Web
-  This web site is entitled Untangling the Web and provides internet links to hundreds of disability-related web sites. It is provided by the International Center for Disability Information at West Virginia University.

World Institute on Disability - A non-profit public policy center whose mission is “to strengthen the disability movement through research, training, advocacy, and public education so that people with disabilities, throughout the world, enjoy increased opportunities to live independently.”

Yahoo Society_and_Culture/Disabilities
- This site provides hundreds of web links to disability related sites through Yahoo!.
